Portland Avenue
Portland Avenue is situated in a quiet residential area in Seaham, County Durham. It is home to four men who live supported in two very pleasant adjoining bungalows. Seaham is a coastal town that offers a wide range of local amenities and is only a short journey away from Durham, Newcastle and Sunderland.
Portland Avenue is very homely and has lovely large gardens to the front and rear of both buildings. The people living at Portland are very much part of the fabric of their community and are valued and welcomed by the local people. The people living here receive 24-hour support and there is a shared sleep-in across the bungalows.
The staff team at Portland are committed to supporting each person towards independence and fulfilling their lives as citizens of the community.
All individuals at Portland have a very busy structured timetable, which includes, shopping, going to The Croft Centre, horse riding, trampolining, walks and paid work making garden furniture.
The home is registered with the Care Quality Commission and consistently receives outstanding reports.
