Located in Stockton-on-Tees, very close to North Tees Hospital, ESPA College Tithebarn offers a creative and wide-ranging curriculum to Autistic and Neurodiverse young people looking to build their skills, qualifications, and coping strategies to increase their independence and/or find employment within the local community.
Many of our students may have been out of education and training for some time or have had difficult experiences in education in the past; and are now benefitting from our flexible and creative approaches to teaching and learning.

ESPA College Tithebarn offers each student a tailored autism-specific curriculum, with a strong focus on Employability, Independence, and Emotional Literacy. Tithebarn also offers creative subjects such as Art and Music, along with Functional Skills qualifications in English, Maths, and ICT.
Students benefit from the small, safe, and friendly environment where their confidence can grow as they work towards achieving their aspirations with support from experienced staff.  Students typically study from Entry Level to Level 2, with the option of gaining more formal or higher level qualifications by being supported to access a local GFE College.

ESPA Tithebarn Social Hub

We are currently developing Tithebarn’s Social Hub as a progression route for graduating students. Tithebarn’s Social Hub provides meaningful social experiences and activities for 19–30-year-olds. The Social Hub provides a bespoke support-system for graduating students, known as Hub Members, to help them continue developing their social interaction and work experience skills establishing positive links in their local communities.
