Curriculum

Our curriculum is created in partnership with each learner, their individual goals and aspirations serving as the foundation for tailored learning programmes that support their progression and long-term ambitions. A typical learning program may include: 

• Functional skills in English, Maths, and ICT 

• Emotional literacy, social communication and positive behaviour support 

• Preparation for adulthood, including life skills and independence 

• Work experience, enterprise and employability skills 

• Enrichment activities, such as creative and expressive arts, health and fitness and the Duke of Edinburgh Award. 

We deliver many of our sessions in the community, where skills are developed and practised in real-life situations; enhancing independence skills and contributing positively to the local community.

Multi-Disciplinary Team 

The College benefits from the support of a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team composed of: 

• Speech and Language Therapist 

• PBS Lead 

• Counsellors 

• Occupational Therapist 

In addition, the College also employ the services of three Consultant Psychiatrists who provide highly responsive clinical intervention and management. Their specific roles include: 

• Providing specialist clinical support covering autism, associated conditions and disabilities, epilepsy, behaviour management and mental health 

• Maintaining an oversight of referrals and providing professional opinions and advice 

• Working in liaison with GPs to ensure comprehensive and integrated clinical plans 

• Providing 24 hour on-call support within emergency procedures
