Day Opportunities
We offer an extensive menu of day opportunities which we tailor around each person’s needs, wishes, interests and expectations.
The Croft Centre in Sunderland is a creative and innovative community-based day provision that offers person-centered programmes of meaningful and stimulating activities for people across the autism spectrum, many of whom have additional or associated difficulties or disabilities.
Everyone in our residential services has the opportunity to take full advantage of all of our day opportunities as part of their placement.
We also offer specialist full and part-time day placements for people living at home. Placements can be commissioned by Local Authorities or purchased directly through Personal Budgets, Direct Payments or Individual Service Funds.
From The Croft Centre people can also attend sessions at Deliver Me Timbers. This is a woodwork-based vocational project that makes a wide range of garden and conservation products.
In addition to the extensive range of activities offered within these settings, people also take part in a wide range of activities in the local and wider community. These can be as part of their placement with us or can be offered through our Domiciliary Agency.
The Croft Centre and Deliver Me Timbers are available 44 weeks a year between 9.30am and 4.00pm. Additional evening activities are also available through the Tuesday Club.
Support to access the community through the Domiciliary Agency is available 52 weeks a year during the day, evenings and weekends.
